Things you should know
Minimum monthly balance requirement
You must maintain a minimum monthly average balance in deposits and/or investments of EGP 30,000, USD 2,000 or a minimum gross monthly salary of EGP 5,000.

Required documents
To complete the account opening process, please visit any HSBC branch with the following documents:
- valid national ID or passport or military ID for Egyptians
- original passport with valid entry visa (for expatriate residents and non-residents)
For non-Egyptians, and for Egyptians with address not updated in the National ID/Passport, please provide:
- proof of residence – an electricity bill, telephone bill or tenancy contract issued or notarised by a governmental or public entity
- proof of employment – HR letter for employees and tax card for self employed
- proof of salary as required for applicable facilities
Additional document required for salary-based customers:
- salary transfer letter
